Nassima Bettir is pursuing her PhD in Petroleum Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, where she works with Dr. Masa Prodanović and Dr. Matthew Balhoff. Her research centers on numerical modeling and simulation of multiphase flow in porous media, with applications to chemical enhanced oil recovery (EOR). She also has experience in thermohydraulic modeling for geothermal wells, reflecting her interest in subsurface energy systems and geothermal energy.

Nassima is passionate about advancing subsurface energy research and exploring innovative solutions for energy production and sustainability. Alongside her research, she enjoys teaching and mentoring students and is enthusiastic about sharing knowledge of energy systems and geothermal resources with future generations. Outside of academia, she enjoys reading books and manga, listening to podcasts, and drawing.
